While studying abroad one summer in Prague, Maya, a Black college student from Connecticut, meets an elusive Czech documentarian making a film examining the complicated history of the city's small Namibian community. A spiral on how to tell the truth.
About The Creative Team
Megan Ruoro (she/her) is a Kenyan-American artist whose work interrogates identity construction through storytelling across mediums. She is a member of the 2025-2027 Public Theater’s Emerging Writer Group. Her playwriting has been developed at The Makers' Ensemble, Yale Cabaret, The Workshop Theatre, Cape Cod Theatre Project, and Yale Playwrights Festival. Her recent acting credits include new works at the New York City Center and Yale. She is also a founding member of The Lesser Workshop, a multidisciplinary collective of emerging artists creating site-specific performances. She is a recent graduate of Yale University where she studied Political Science and Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. @megruoro
Vera Alonzo is in her Junior year at the University of Michigan for a BFA in Performance: Directing. She is a recipient of The Gates Scholarship, as well as a recipient of the Cody Renard Richard Scholars program. She likes directing, and plans to keep doing it.
