About The Musical
Two brothers with opposing ideologies and a fracturing friendship are asked a time-old question on their first day of college: “Would you kill baby Hitler?”. Four years later, their beloved professor dies, and leaves them a Time Machine with a note reading: FINAL ASSIGNMENT.
About The Creative Team
Justin Borak (Book) is a Lebanese-American playwright based out of New York City. His work has been developed by Noor Theatre, Playhouse on the Square, Gideon Theatricals, and West Virginia Public Theatre. He's a member of New York Theatre Workshop's SWANA Writer's Co-Op and a resident company member and playwright with Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival. Justin was recently named a semifinalist for the Eugene O'Neil NPC Award, a finalist for the Lanford Wilson 2025 New American Play Prize and is the recipient for the Broadway Licensing New Works Grant. He is currently a fellow at the 2026 Sewanee Writers' Conference and an Artist-in-Residence with Skelton Rep in Harlem and Community Playhouse in Bloomington, IL. In the world of musical theatre, he is currently working as the book writer with 411 Music on the drama, time-travel musical Killing Adolf and with Ethan Carlson on the horror musical, The Lock-In. Mia Ehrlich (Director/Original Concept) is a theatre and film director based in New York City. Ehrlich studied drama, film, and creative writing at New York University. Ehrlich works alongside composer/lyricist Daniel Seligman in creating new, original musicals for the stage and screen. Recently, one of their projects was optioned to be turned into a feature film, going into production in 2027, co-directed by Ehrlich. Ehrlich is the co-founder and Artistic Director of 411 MUSIC, a collective of young musical theatre artists. 411 MUSIC recently launched their company with 4 music videos directed and edited by Ehrlich, available at youtube.com/@originalmusicals
Daniel Seligman (Music/Lyrics, Original Concept) is a New York City-based composer and lyricist. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Seligman met his collaborator, director Mia Ehrlich, at age fourteen, and the duo has been developing original musicals together ever since. After moving to New York City for college, Seligman began studying composition with Adam Guettel. He subsequently served as Guettel’s assistant on the Broadway productions of Days of Wine and Roses and Floyd Collins, and assisted in the recording and mixing of their original cast albums. Seligman also worked on the 2024 cast recording of Once Upon a Mattress and has had the pleasure of working closely with organizations such as ASCAP, NATS, and the Library of Congress, where he assisted in the organization of the Mary Rodgers Papers. Recently, Seligman and Ehrlich’s screenplay for an original movie musical was optioned for a feature film. In the fall of 2026, the pair will develop their next piece, Killing Adolf, alongside bookwriter Justin Borak in a workshop production by Gideon Theatricals in Ann Arbor.
